A Note from the Universe...Correction

Posted on Dec 9th, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val

To those who need to hear, remember and pursue.

From the book:  "Notes from the Universe", by Mike Dooley

Imagine watching TV

and you see a German shepherd at the beach

with a tennis ball in its mouth.  Suddenly,

with a subtle flick of its head, the dog throws the

ball with pinpoint accuracy to its master 100 feet

away.  Or you watch a program where you see

a Ferrari traveling at 160 mph, headed straight

for a group of people standing in  the middle of

the road, eating shrimp and caviar, and at the

precise point necessary, the car rapidly decelerates,

abruptly stopping less than a single millimeter

before disaster, and no one flinches.

What kind of TV do you watch, anyway?

Your brain wants to say "no way", because it

wants logic and the physical senses to interpret

reality, but the cinematographers have you in the

palm of their hands, unbound by rules, free to

play films in reverse, without telling you

The Universe is the same

it's trump card lies in orchestrating an unseen reality

that escapes both logic and the physical senses.

It's as if the Universe works backward, too.

You thing of the end result, what you want to

happen in your life, and then the Universe works

backward, aligning your dreamed-of life with where

you are today, stringing together people, places

and events, for the "impossible" to become possible.

This is how life works.

Trust the Universe, it knows how.  Don't tie its hands with logic, fear or limiting beliefs.

and next year the Oscar for trick photography...

could be yours.

Always with Love.

Sending My Friends and the Gaia Nation Hugs

Posted on Nov 13th, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val
I stubbled across this blog some time in June or July.  I felt that it was the most important ingrediant to hold in my thoughts daily.  If you have not really thought about the importance of intentions, than I only ask that you reconsider.  No one has captured the essence of intention as Terrill has: Below is her posting.

SET YOUR INTENTION

One misconception about living our vision is a belief that if we carefully set out our direction, and follow through with precise predetermined action; we will end up exactly where we planned to be. However, we do not know what tomorrow, the next week or the next twenty years will bring. This reminds me of an old joke "Do you want to hear God laugh?" The answer is "Just tell her/him you have a plan." That is why it is important to do our vision work from a place of intention. We need to have the capacity for flexibility and resiliency when something unexpected presents itself.

Intentions are a compass setting to determine the direction we must take for our vision. Intentions are a tool to assist us as we navigate towards our visions. Day-to-day circumstances are the topography we must travel. As in land travel, the topography may not always let us go from place to place "as the crow flies." Figuratively, in living our visions we might need to cross deep ravines, mountains, rivers without bridges, or deserts without an oasis. Our intentions will ensure that we stay on course.  Our greatest resiliency and strength can come from our ability to be open, curious and delighted by the unexpected. Surprises "out of the blue" sometimes challenge us to revise, redefine and question our beliefs, convictions, and the world view supporting our vision. If we take the time to set our intention with purpose and clarity, then we are better able to appreciate that we are part of an interconnected universe of experience moving through time and space.

The best description of AWAKENING

Posted on Nov 11th, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val
Beautiful_sunset
I missed my friends and those I am destined to connect with.  I have experienced a change deep within and have shared what I could with a few of you but have had to do some reading to understand what has "truly" happened and what do I do now.  There is no better explaination then below:

RELECTIONS FROM CONAMARA

THE QUESTION HOLDS THE LANTERN.

John O'Donohue, Ph.D.

Humans have an uncanny ability to domesticate everything they touch. Eventually, even the strangest things become absorbed into the routine of the daily mind with its steady geographies of endurance, anxiety and contentment. Only seldom does the haze lift, and we glimpse for a second, the amazing plenitude of being here. Sometimes, unfortunately, it is suffering or threat that awakens us. It could happen that one evening, you are busy with many things, netted into your role and the phone rings. Someone you love is suddenly in the grip of an illness that could end their life within hours. It only takes a few seconds to receive that news. Yet, when you put the phone down, you are already standing in a different world. All you know has just been rendered unsure and dangerous. You realise that the ground has turned into quicksand. Now it seems to you that even mountains are suspended on strings.

If you could imagine the most incredible story ever, it would be less incredible than the story of being here. And the ironic thing is that story is not a story, it is true. It takes us so long to see where we are. It takes us even longer to see who we are. This is why the greatest gift you could ever dream is a gift that you can only receive from one person. And that person is you yourself. Therefore, the most subversive invitation you could ever accept is the invitation to awaken to who you are and where you have landed. Plato said in The Symposium that one of the greatest privileges of a human life is to become midwife to the birth of the soul in another. When your soul awakens, you begin to truly inherit your life. You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces, repetitive talk and weary roles and slip deeper into the true adventure of who you are and who you are called to become. The greatest friend of the soul is the unknown. Yet we are afraid of the unknown because it lies outside our vision and our control. We avoid it or quell it by filtering it through our protective barriers of domestication and control. The normal way never leads home.

Once you start to awaken, no one can ever claim you again for the old patterns. Now you realise how precious your time here is. You are no longer willing to squander your essence on undertakings that do not nourish your true self; your patience grows thin with tired talk and dead language. You see through the rosters of expectation which promise you safety and the confirmation of your outer identity. Now you are impatient for growth, willing to put yourself in the way of change. You want your work to become an expression of your gift. You want your relationship to voyage beyond the pallid frontiers to where the danger of transformation dwells. You want your God to be wild and to call you to where your destiny awaits.

You have come out of Plato's Cave of Images into the sunlight and the mystery of colour and imagination. When you begin to sense that your imagination is the place where you are most divine, you feel called to clean out of your mind all the worn and shabby furniture of thought. You wish to refurbish yourself with living thought so that you can begin to see. As Meister Eckhart says: Thoughts are our inner senses. When the inner senses are dull and blurred, you can see nothing in or of yourself; you become a respectable prisoner of received images. Now you realise that ‘eternal vigilance is the price of liberty' and you undertake the difficult but beautiful path to freedom. On this journey, you begin to see how the sides of your heart that seemed awkward, contradictory and uneven are the places where the treasure lies hidden. You begin to become true to yourself. And as Shakespeare says in Hamlet: To thine own self be true, then as surely as night follows day, thou canst to no man be false.

The journey shows you that from this inner dedication you can reconstruct your own values and action. You develop from your own self-compassion a great compassion for others. You are no longer caught in the false game of judgement, comparison and assumption. More naked now than ever, you begin to feel truly alive. You begin to trust the music of your own soul; you have inherited treasure that no one will ever be able to take from you. At the deepest level, this adventure of growth is in fact a transfigurative conversation with your own death. And when the time comes for you to leave, the view from your death bed will show a life of growth that gladdens the heart and takes away all fear.

Much Love, Many blessings and may you experience your Truth.

Val

My Heart is breaking....

Posted on Oct 6th, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val
...
but when I think of the awesome energy I get when I can come home to Gaia quickly begins to heal!  I'm not able to stay on line as long as previously, but here's the deal..:

I no longer have my own internet connection and am sharing a computer with a lovely 19year old !    So I sneak on when I can.  I look forward to coming to play, ponder, grow , share and experience with everyone on a more consistant basis soon.

I hope to be permantely (at least for the term of a lease) placed by the end of October or Nov. 1st with comcast cable or something close to it. (smile). Forgive the spelling.

Lovely Nicole, thanks for your support and feelin my pain.  Paying for DSL without the benefit of internet serivce is truly a : "Yikes"!  Ok, poor service. Like surf one page and come back tomorrow or not....   Your lovely picture is always like a breath of fresh air.  As is SKY's picture.   Gotta Go.  Check you later, keep smiling, laugh out loud, get tickeled...literally, ok maybe not, but at least figuratively.

Kisses and hugs.

Hope I finish this message before getting booted off.  Unfortunately, I can't stay on line long enough to read mail or reply in the same day.  My travels are not complete yet.  While I have relocated temporarily, I must still look for a new home.  Hopefully with better internet choices.  Just wanted yall to know you are constantly in my thoughts.  I look forward to bumping into you on the path again soon.

Love, Kisses and giggles.

Dear Friends, I Miss You!

Posted on Sep 13th, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val

DEAR FRIENDS,

I Miss You

You are there
and I am here
thinking about how much
I love you
thinking about how much
I respect you
thinking about how much
I miss you

You are there
and I am here
thinking about how much
I cannot wait
until we are together again
thinking about how
I will appreciate
more than ever
the time
we will spend together
I love you

If anyone happens by this path and I am not walking and thinking, and laughing and praising, then I have been virtually disconnected.  I am moving and will not be back on line until September 3rd.

Many the Power Be With You!

Much Love and Many blessings to You!

 Today's Horoscope

If you do any writing or artwork today, it will seem to come from a source outside of yourself, dear Virgo. Is this the divine muse you've heard others talk about? Possibly, or perhaps it is just your own natural talent shining through at last. Today is also auspicious for relationships, so be sure to take time for friends and loved ones, whether old or new.

That horoscope was from a website: I do respect the power of astrology. (with caution).

But I have encountered an awakening and I beleive it will happen to many, many people this year.  Keep your intentions true and steady.

I AM THERE

Posted on Aug 21st, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val

Do you need Me?
I am there.
You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by.
You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice.
You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.
I am at work, though you do not understand My ways.
I am at work, though you do not recognize My works.
I am not strange visions. I am not mysteries.
Only in absolute stillness, beyond self, can you know Me as I am, and then but as a feeling and a faith.
Yet I am there. Yet I hear. Yet I answer.
When you need Me, I am there.
Even if you deny Me, I am there.
Even when you feel most alone, I am there.
Even in your fears, I am there.
Even in your pain, I am there.
I am there when you pray and when you do not pray.
I am in you, and you are in Me.
Only in your mind can you feel separate from Me, for only in your mind are the mists of "yours" and "mine."
Yet only with your mind can you know Me and experience Me.
Empty your heart of empty fears.
When you get yourself out of the way, I am there.
You can of yourself do nothing, but I can do all.
And I am in all.
Though you may not see the good, good is there, for I am there.
I am there because I have to be, because I am.
Only in Me does the world have meaning; only out of Me does the world take form; only because of Me does the world go forward.
I am the law on which the movement of the stars and the growth of living cells are founded.
I am the love that is the law's fulfilling. I am assurance. I am peace. I am oneness. I am the law that you can live by. I am the love that you can cling to. I am your assurance. I am your peace. I am one with you. I am.
Though you fail to find Me, I do not fail you.
Though your faith in Me is unsure, My faith in you never wavers, because I know you, because I love you.
Beloved, I am there.

DESIDERATA

Posted on Aug 16th, 2008 by Val : Servant-of-Grace Val
I love this poem!

DESIDERATA
Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare your self to others you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of Time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is. Many persons strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not vain affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of avidity and disenchantment , it is perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture your strength of the spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Behind a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars. You have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with god, whatever you conceive him to be and whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.
With all its shame & drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be careful, & strive to be happy.
