This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 29, 2008:
I read somewhere that our bodies continue to evolve. It's very interesting and scientific. I think it was the book, the Celestine Phrophecy that introduced me to the thought that the ultimate level of evolution involves the discipline of "thought" and/or "emotion". I wasn't ready to receive the message (perhaps) so I can not convey, appropriately the main objective of the book, or what I found interesting about the book and obtaining the "ultimate-evolvtion" stage. For those who haven't read the book, I won't give away the particulars.
We have undoubly evolved in thought (even though current media (TV), etc. reflects differently). The mere fact that we can discuss such a question without fear, and freedom, as opposed to the scientist and philosophers who lost their lives because of such questions generations ago, speaks on progression. But we see in other cultures/countries that this freedom of speech continues to be out of reach. I have often wondered: Are some cultures at a "higher-level" or "further - evolved" than other cultures?
The topic is an excellent question that I have asked myself many times. I am limited to my answer, because my knowledge of the world is very limited. I gage the stage of humanity by how great my disapointments are about what I hear, see, and witness on a daily basis and all around me. There is much disapointment! It is easy to give up or give in to the disappointments. But thank goodness for people in my path like the community at GAIA that continue to offer hope. Sorry for the digression.... Great question! Can we quanitify a stage of humanity? I read that evolutionary-type changes occur every 100 years, I think I may have read this is a book called; "The Science of Spirituality" or was it "The Physics of Sprituality". Topics that has posed several other questions to ponder.
